Drones in agriculture: Throughout history, farming and agriculture were the backbone of human civilisation. It might seem like the industrial revolution, development of gene synthesis and socio-economic destabilisation have stunned its development and significance in human civilisation. But the truth is that the latest trends of conscious consumption and eco-friendly existence have put agriculture back in the center of attention. The economic sustainability of every region is evaluated due to the condition of its agricultural sector. Tristan Steventon (StevTech)

From the bush to the Army and back to the bush. Let’s chat about drones and agriculture. The quote from Mark Twain “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life” I feel summarises my conversation with Tristan Steventon of StevTech. Country born and bred then spending a career in Defence, Tristan understands the unique nature of horticulture and broadacre farming coupled with the need and use of usable data to inform decision making and ultimately provide a return on investment (ROI). Tristan believes he’s cracked this ROI decision, which we discuss during this episode.  StevTech is impressive. Not only the ridiculously impressive technology, but the honest, trustworthy and hard-working approach to supporting one of Australia’s most important industries. We hear ‘help the farmers’ – get across and see how StevTech is doing that every day. In this episode we also […]
